Hair Care

Our hair is a point of pride and beauty, part of our daily "outfit," and its style and health can be an indicator of "where we are" throughout the days, weeks, months, and seasons. Hair growth is cyclical and changes as we age, and although minor hair loss is normal, if you are experiencing an increased level of fallout, you can take proactive steps to control or reverse this with Noush Oil.

Our products are sourced from fresh, clean botanicals. They are cruelty-free – never being tested on animals. Noush Oil can help you achieve hair retention while enhancing the health of your scalp and follicles, bringing luster, shine and strength back to one of your greatest physical assets.

Hair Care

Hair growth has three phases: the growing phase, anagen; the regressing phase, catagen; and the resting phase, telogen.

The cells of anagen hairs have a high mitotic rate and are among the most rapidly replicating cells in humans. The hair growth originates from the hair bulb, which is located in the lower dermis. When hair growth ceases, the catagen phase occurs, resulting in cessation of mitosis, apoptosis, and upward migration of the hair bulb into the mid-dermis. The hair shaft becomes clubbed at the bottom, causing the catagen hair to become a telogen hair (also called club hair). The telogen hair remains in the follicle for 2 to 3 months and is pushed out when the new hair grows.

Aging

As we age, the growth phase can shorten due to changes in hormone levels, and decreased levels of minerals and nutrients. Without new hair replacing the hair that is shed, our hair thins. In some cases, the hair growth phase stops completely.

Nutrition

A diet low in biotin, folic acid, iron, zinc, Vitamin A, B6, B12, C, D, E, and natural collagen can also lead to reduced hair quality, thinning and hair loss.

Stress & Lack of Sleep

Stress due to anxiety and fear can cause cortisol in the body to spike, causing the hair to enter and remain in the shedding phase.

Environmental Pollution & Hair Products

Environmental pollution and the use of hair products containing synthetic chemicals, fragrances and silicones can reduce lead to hair damage as a result of blocked pores and scalp dehydration
